The 3D model was used for both the preparation and the execution of the construction, including all building services (M&E) layouts and their subsequent coordination and clash detection. It also served as the basis for the architectural design of the building envelope and the color concept of the façade.

The factory site is located between U Panasoniku, Podnikatelská and Folmavská streets, within the existing fenced area on the developed footprint of the original P1 hall.

The architectural solution reflects the effort to create a modern manufacturing and administrative complex integrated into the urban fabric of the city. The main advantages of the production will be significant added value, primarily through higher product quality, greater manufacturing flexibility, faster time‑to‑market, and overall dynamically increasing efficiency. The technical design of the building — intended for Industry 4.0 — aims to respond to these fundamental characteristics.

An emphasis was placed on preserving the existing conditions of the locality and minimizing negative impacts on the surroundings in both the narrow and broader sense, as well as on applying contemporary strategies from the earliest stages of the design. This creates a basis for minimizing the urban heat island effect, utilizing renewable energy sources, efficient management of water and waste, and, last but not least, improving the quality of the internal environment. Based on this, the volume of the building was optimized and new materials and technologies were used in both the interior and exterior of the structure.

This is a new three‑storey production hall for Panasonic heat pumps. At the same time, it includes facilities for employees and visitors — locker rooms, a canteen, offices, workshops, meeting rooms, showrooms, sanitary facilities, etc.

The hall has an irregular L‑shaped layout, with main dimensions of 235.0 × 257.0 m. On the east side, the building is extended by an area for unloading trucks measuring 121.0 × 12.0 m. On the west side, the building is extended by six industrial freight elevators in three widened sections measuring 14.48 × 4.20 m.

The height of the structure is 15.0 m above ±0.000 at the eaves, and it is designed as a three‑storey, non‑basement building with a flat roof, fire‑separated into two zones.

The structure is founded on piles, and the main load‑bearing system consists of precast reinforced concrete elements. The façade is made of mineral wool sandwich panels, with portions of the façade glazed. The roof consists of trapezoidal metal sheeting with mineral wool insulation and a PVC waterproofing membrane.

There was a strong emphasis on maximizing the use of the photovoltaic power plant installed on the roof, and a green roof was also implemented in line with the surrounding design concept and the city of Pilsen’s requirements.

Regarding the building envelope, it is enlivened with interesting architectural elements in the form of colored panels and glazed façades — the main entrance, also glazed, is complemented by an entrance canopy, which is another distinctive architectural feature.

The interiors — especially the canteen, administrative area, MD (Managing Director) room, Work Arena, and entrance lobby — were designed to meet the practical requirements of the client while also reflecting Panasonic’s modern trends and vision, thereby enlivening and enhancing the work environment for future employees. All design work was carried out with an emphasis on detail, sustainability, and the quality of materials used.
